The Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize 2019 is open for submissions in the categories of Fiction, Poetry, and Life Writing. The prize was launched ten years ago to support new writers, with no limits on age, gender, nationality or background. Mslexia Women's Memoir Competition 2014

Women from any country who have not published a memoir, but may have published something else, are eligible Entry fee £25
Prize: 
£5,000

The competition is for full-length memoirs from unpublished women memoirists. To be eligible a memoir must be at least 50,000 words and narrate actual events from the writer's own life. To enter the competition, send up to 5,000 words - which must be the first 5,000 words of the memoir.
